This
herb, once common in hedgerows and pastures, has effective sedative and
anodyne properties. Anxiety and overexcitement at shows or events are
indications, along with ‘anxiety colic’ of facial pain (sinus or
teeth). If the pelvis or spine becomes twisted, prior to a visit from a
chiropractor it will help to relieve pain and to relax musculature, thus
improving the effects of chiropractic manipulation. It is usually given
internally.
Notes: Best used as a “sun tea,” added to grain. Horses need to acquire a taste for it. In some cases they will drink it if not too strong. |
